I am planning to go to Australia this September on work. Right now I am spending a lot of time and money sending paperwork and documents to various people over there to sort out visas, professional registration etc.
Today I sent a letter with Royal Mail’s “International Signed For” registered delivery service. This is the receipt I got.

This photo is a homage to Martyn Hoyer. It is based on a photo I saw on his 365 Project website. It is his photo for December 5th (Direct link).
I have seen all the photos on Martyn’s site, and am really impressed by how he manages to turn mundane objects into stunning photographs.
Today I learnt how to make colours "pop" – using LAB mode in Photoshop, you increase contrast in the A and B channels, then adjust Lightness.
I also learnt about how to reduce noise and increase sharpness more effectively using LAB mode.
I am impressed with the sharpness in this photo – especially if you go to the "original size" and look at the area of focus in the near end of the bar code. I previously had issues about the sharpness of images from my D40.
